Yeastar Brings Security and Significant Savings to AI Noor International School

Nowadays, an increasing number of schools tend to establish a relatively perfect communication network to better develop their education network when they scale up their size. With the aim to provide quality education of a high international standard in the Kingdom of Bahrain, AI Noor International School realized that building a cost-effective, stable and secure communication network was quite significant for them. But their existing legacy phone system could hardly meet their communication demands. They had been exploring a better campus IP voice communication system for their ICT upgrade and was finally surprised to find that Yeastar S-Series VoIP PBX could greatly slash their cost, increase their availability and improve their working efficiency. So they quickly deployed it to replace the outdated one.

Background

Founded in 1993, Al Noor International School has grown from its humble origins to a now well established and highly respected educational institution in Bahrain. It has set up various divisions in two different countries with multiple locations. While during its developing process, its outdated legacy phone system could hardly satisfy its communication need among these divisions.

Objective and Challenges

AI Noor International School needed a system that was flexible, stable and multi-functional to secure inter-divisional connectivity, slash internal call cost, and maintain stability as well as 24/7 availability.

In addition, the new phone system would have the ability to create a centralized extension structure, handle various real-time calls, record the call details, integrate with management software (API) for reporting, and support complex network and VLAN architecture as well as various telecom trunks.

Solution

DVCOM is a Yeastar authorized distributor in GCC region. As its reseller, Alnoor International Trading is an innovative technology solutions provider based in Bahrain. Catering for businesses across various industries, its extensive knowledge in ICT solutions and related services allow it to provide business-critical solutions.

After comprehensively understood the communication need of AI Noor International School, Alnoor International Trading recommended Yeastar S-Series VoIP PBX solution to the school, collaborating with Yealink Phones. It was soon adopted.

  • According to the suggested solution, AI Noor International School deployed one unit Yeastar S300 VoIP PBX, two units S100 VoIP PBX and two units S50 VoIP PBX with corresponding modules and expansion boards in the 6 sites of the two countries. Each site installed different models of S-Series VoIP PBX according to their different extension needs, collaborating with Yealink phones.
  • All sites had inter-connectivity via VPN and each local and international campus had its own VPN, which greatly secured the site to site connection.

Results and Benefits

  • Slashing Cost and Improving Availability

With the centralized extension structure, every staff in different divisions could make free internal calls to each other directly and all of them could utilize various trunks of S-Series VoIP PBX to make and receive calls. In addition, with SIP Forking and Linkus Mobile Client, they would never miss a call from colleagues, students or students’ parents anywhere and anytime, which greatly improved their availability.

  • Simplifying Management and Increasing Communication Efficiency

Every campus could control and update the phone system simply through the intuitive and graphical UI and S-Series VoIP PBX supported the auto provisioning with Yealink IP Phones, which greatly saved tons of management time for every campus.

With plenty of built-in VoIP business-enhancing system features like conference, auto call recording, IVR, API features, S-Series VoIP PBX greatly helped AI Noor International School enhance communication efficiency and made the campus daily work become easy.

  • Enhancing Scalability and Securing Site to Site Connection

Yeastar S-Series VoIP PBX provided flexible telephony interfaces combination while allowing for future scalability with unique modular design, which provided more possibility for the expansion of AI Noor International School. In addition, Yeastar S-Series VoIP PBX protected the campus network from Internet hackers and viruses with built-in VPN Server and firewall to ensure the security of the inter-connectivity from site to site.
